We strive for quality and excellence!
In the early 1900’s Midwest Oil Co. began operation of an oil refinery in Casper, Wyoming. The refinery processed crude oil from the enormous Salt Creek Oil Field in central Wyoming. An important supplier of fuel in World War II, the refinery was a significant part of the Casper economy for nearly 80 years. The refinery closed in 1991 with significant environmental liabilities. One aspect of those liabilities was an estimated 30 million gallons of oil that had leaked into the shallow alluvial aquifer adjacent to the North Platte River. In 2001, BP, the current owner, decided to undertake an aggressive remediation program to prepare the 300-acre site for beneficial use – which is now a world class golf course.
Instrument Electric Svc, Inc. was fortunate to participate in this project from the inception by providing engineering assistance, design and installation for the nearly 100 recovery wells that will recover groundwater and oil into the next century.
At Instrument Electric Svc, we feel very honored to have received this award from such a prestigious organization.
