Instrument Electric Shares in 2005 Engineering Excellence Award

In Casper, Wyoming, the former AMOCO refinery was an important part of Casper’s economy for nearly 80 years before closing in 1991 with significant environmental liabilities, including 30 million gallons of oil that had leaked into the aquifer adjacent to the nearby North Platte River. In 2001, BP, the current owner, decided to undertake an aggressive remediation program with the intent to prepare the 300-acre site for beneficial use.

Instrument Electric was fortunate enough to participate in this project from the inception by providing engineering assistance, design and installation for the nearly 100 recovery wells that will recover groundwater and oil into the next century.

At Instrument Electric, we feel very honored to have received this award from such a prestigious organization.
